Erosion Control
The ASP Enterprises staff are Erosion Control Professionals specializing in slopes, drainage swales, channels and streambanks, lake edge treatments, and composite solutions!
Our Definition: Keeping the Soil in Place. Most often, keeping the soil in place is a matter of establishing vegetation, especially on a typical slope. At ASP, vegetation management involves not only providing the necessary temporary erosion control protection until vegetation can take over, but also insuring vegetation establishment by offering an agronomic approach to vegetation management . The temporary erosion control may have a longevity of as little as 45 days or might take up to 3 years. In instances where vegetation alone is not enough, we have a wide range of stronger solutions that can take care of most any erosion control problem.
No matter what the duration, ASP has the solutions to meet your needs. Here are the main categories of erosion control:

Slopes
From mild grades to very steep slopes, we have a wide range of solutions. They fall into these specific categories: Hydraulically Applied Products, Rolled Erosion Control Blankets, and Structural Protection. Most of these solutions focus on vegetation establishment. Vegetation is one of the greatest long term methods of keeping erosion in check on slopes. We have worked very hard to have tools in our toolbox to grow vegetation just about anywhere.
Drainage Swales
Vegetated Swales here are classified as swales not containing consistent water flow. Vegetation can be established on the entire cross section of a swale. Vegetated Swales offer distinct advantages over rock and concrete lined swales including vegetation filtering, superior hydraulic performance, aesthetic appeal, ease of Installation, and environmental sustainability.
Channels and Streambanks
Typically these solutions require significantly more analysis to determine the best solution. We have developed special solutions for a wide range of hydraulic scenarios. They fall in the categories of toe protection, soft armor protection, hard armor protection, retaining structures and bioengineering/vegetated solutions.

Lake Edge Treatment
Shorelines can present far-reaching erosion-control challenges. Variable flow conditions and shoreline shear stresses have to be considered, as well as the effects of flooding, runoff, topography, and the need to protect water quality and aquatic and wildlife habitats. There are also issues of aesthetics, and, of course, budgets. We have again brought several alternatives to the design board for your consideration including soft armor protection, Transition Mats, Geoweb, hard armor revetments and then composite systems that utilize multiple solutions.

Composite Solutions
In many situations a combination of products to create a composite solution is the most cost-effective answer. We bring a unique perspective to this as we can combine multiple manufacturers into a single solution. Vegetated Reinforced Soil Slopes – VRSS, Geoweb Mass Gravity Walls, Temporary Wire Facing Walls are three of the solutions we offer.
A.S.P. Enterprises is the Midwest’s full-line distributor of erosion control and geosynthetic materials. With a large inventory, we can ensure immediate delivery on a variety of high-tech, top-quality supplies and equipment, including:
